There was a great turnout for the Lophams’ Society’s Autumn Quiz held at the Village Hall on the 11th October. The event attracted an almost capacity number of quizzers and it was good to welcome not only our regular supporters but many new faces who we hope will join us for future events. St Andrews School was well represented by the winning team who took a healthy lead in what was otherwise a closely fought contest. Thanks are due to Simon Dilloway for providing the questions and keeping order and Steve Reynolds for keeping the scores. Thanks also go to the committee members and helpers who provided and served the interval supper and the bar staff who kept everyone refreshed throughout what was a most enjoyable evening. The proceeds of this event will go towards funding the Lophams’ Society Christmas Drop-in which will be held at the village hall on the 13th December.
