Lophams’ Society Christmas Drop-in Friday 16 December 2016

On Friday the 16th December the Lophams’ Society will be hosting it’s pre-Christmas get-together in the Village Hall between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. This is a FREE event and all residents of the Lophams’ both past and present are invited to come along and join us in raising a glass of Christmas cheer. As well as mulled wine and soft drinks there will be a selection of finger food including French bread and cheese, biscuits, mince pies and festive nibbles. Many of those who attended last year’s drop-in were complimentary about the new-style get-together and we hope that this year’s event will be just as enjoyable. So if you haven’t been before or haven’t “dropped-in” for a couple of years please come along and join us for a drink, a nibble and a catch-up and help get the festive season underway.

Lophams’ Society Autumn Quiz

There was a great turnout at the Village Hall on the 14th October when 75 people turned up to take part in the Lophams’ Society Autumn Quiz. Once again chairman Roy Clark, this time acting as question master and scorer supplied a variety of interesting and entertaining questions which meant at the end of 8 closely fought rounds only a handful of points divided the teams and only one point separated the winners on table three from their nearest rivals on table 10. The ploughmans’ supper served in the interval went down well and the chairman expressed his thanks to those members of the committee who worked hard both in the kitchen and behind the bar to make sure the evening was a success.

The next Lophams’ Society event is the Christmas Get-Together on the evening of Friday 16th December and is free to all residents of North and South Lopham.
